On February 6th 2004 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a final rule prohibiting the sale of dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids (ephedra) because such supplements present an unreasonable risk of illness or injury. The rule became effective 60 days from the date of publication.

As a dietary supplement, take three capsules daily. Do not take near bedtime.

Contains 18mg ephedrine alkaloids (also known as ephedra alkaloids) per serving. Do not exceed recommended serving. Not intended for use by persons under 18. Do not use if pregnant or nursing or in combination with other caffeinated products. Consult your doctor prior to use if you have, or have a family history of, high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, difficulty in urinating, prostate enlargement, recurrent headaches, depression or other psychiatric condition, glaucoma, seizures or if using a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or any other prescription drug, or you are using the over-the-counter drug containing ephedrine, pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine (ingredients found in certain allergy, asthma, cough/cold, and weight control products). Stop use and call a doctor immediately if you experience rapid heartbeat, dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, or other similar symptoms, or if nervousness, sleeplessness, loss of appetite or nausea occur. Improper use of this product (e.g., exceeding the recommended serving) will not improve results, may be hazardous to your health, and may cause serious adverse effects like heart attack or stroke. Individuals who consume caffeine with this product may experience serious adverse health effects. Do not use for more than 12 weeks.
